I-kan began with a small step in 1983.
For over 40 years since then, based on our facility construction business, we have sincerely polished our skills to meet our customers' trust and have continued to grow with changes in society.
As our business diversified with the changing times, we constantly asked ourselves: "What is our true mission?" "What can we contribute to society?"
Finding One Answer After 40 Years
Through many challenges and transformations, in 2018, we looked back on our journey and arrived at one answer that serves as a compass for the future. That is our current management philosophy, "Life Spiral Up."
We want to create a future where the lives of everyone involved with I-kan Corporation rise like a spiral staircase, becoming richer and better from yesterday to today, and from today to tomorrow.
We promise not to end with a single success, but to grow continuously and draw a spiral of happiness with everyone involved.
Giving Form to Philosophy Through Business
"Life Spiral Up" is not just an abstract slogan.
In our core Plumbing Business since our founding, we design and construct lifelines that can be called "blood vessels" essential to people's lives and industries, such as plumbing, sanitary, and HVAC systems in buildings. Recently, we are also promoting the introduction of heat cluster systems using geothermal heat, contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
In our Restaurant Business, based on the shock and happiness I once received from a single dish, we operate 6 brands with different concepts at 7 locations in Hamamatsu. Themed on local production for local consumption, we use abundant seasonal blessings from our own farm to deliver moments of "mouth happiness" carved into our customers' life stories.
Regarding our Childcare Business, for me, who often spent time quietly at home, the nursery school was a warm and reassuring place. Many of my memories of being truly fulfilled in childhood are supported by my experiences at the nursery. That is why I want to deliver similarly rich times to children. We want to create an environment where parents can work with peace of mind and nurture the future society together with the community.
Creating the Future with Group Power
Our multifaceted challenges are heading towards a stage of further evolution through encounters with new partners.
In 2024, we welcomed "Takatsuka Kikai Seisakusho," which has supported the local rice industry for over 100 years since its founding in 1921, and "Takehara Sangyo Fukuroi," professionals in agricultural machinery, into our group through M&A.
By adding the strengths of these two companies, we have established a system that can support everything from cultivation and harvesting to rice milling and distribution in one stop. Crossing field boundaries, we will speedily solve on-site issues and enhance our customers' sustainability.
We will continue to multiply each other's strengths, accelerate the "Life Spiral Up" of the entire group, and spirally push up the future of the region and agriculture.
